– Before Oslo, there was Trondheim –
Trondheim was the seat of Norway before it was changed to Oslo in the year 1217.
If you plan to visit Norway, spend a day or two in Trondheim and experience divergence of history, art and youth. You can get lost in the city and find random coffee shops and galleries. If you’re into landmarks, visit Nidarosdomen or Nidaros Cathedral, very famous to pilgrims and tourists alike. Coronations of Norwegian monarchs are held in Nidaros.
Trondheim is also home to Norway’s interactive museum of rock and roll, Rockheim. Or, dine at Tyholttårnet or Tyholt Tower that juts out to the sky some 400 feet from the ground. On top…
